Data Protection

How Breadyra safeguards bakery customer personal information and order data.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Purpose of This Page

This Data Protection page describes the measures Breadyra takes to protect the personal information of customers and visitors who use our artisan bakery website. Breadyra offers artisan breads, croissants, cinnamon rolls, buns, baguettes, cookies, muffins, and cakes from our bakery in Copiapó, Atacama. Because ordering bakery goods online requires sharing details such as names, addresses, and payment information, we treat data protection as a core part of the customer experience and of Freshly Baked Happiness in Every Bite!

2. Scope of Protected Data

The data we protect includes contact details, delivery and billing addresses, bakery order history, flavor and portion preferences, custom cake messages, dietary notes you choose to share, communication records with our customer care team, membership status for Basic Baker, Fresh Club, or Pastry VIP, and technical logs associated with the use of our website. We treat all of this information as confidential and handle it only for legitimate bakery business purposes.

3. Data Protection Principles

We follow clear principles whenever we process personal data. We collect only the information that is needed for a specific purpose, such as baking and delivering an order. We use data in a lawful, fair, and transparent way. We keep information accurate and up to date whenever possible. We store it only for as long as necessary. We protect it with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. We act in line with applicable Chilean legislation, including Law No. 19.628 on the protection of private life and the rules that update it.

4. Security Measures

We apply security measures that are appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. These include encrypted connections for website forms and checkout, secure password practices, protected storage of customer records, regular software updates, and monitoring of our systems for unusual activity. Card payments are processed by specialized payment providers that follow industry security standards. Breadyra does not store your complete card number or security code. Bakery staff access order lists through controlled systems so that delivery addresses and phone numbers are not left exposed on shared devices.

5. Access Control

Access to customer data is limited to team members who need it to perform their work, such as baking and packing, customer care, delivery coordination, or finance. Access rights are reviewed when roles change and are removed when they are no longer needed. All staff members who handle personal data are required to follow our confidentiality rules and receive guidance on safe handling of information, including how to discuss custom cake details only with the ordering customer.

6. Sharing Data With Service Providers

To deliver your bakery orders and run our store, we work with trusted partners such as courier companies, payment processors, hosting providers, and email services. We share only the information each partner needs to complete its task, for example your name, address, and phone number so that a courier can deliver fresh breads and pastries. Our partners are expected to protect data and use it only for the services they provide to us. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

7. Data Transfers Outside Chile

Some of our technology providers may store or process information on servers located outside Chile. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure that your information remains protected, including selecting reputable providers and requiring suitable safeguards for confidentiality and security. Transfers related to email delivery of order confirmations or analytics for menu pages are limited to what is necessary to operate the bakery website.

8. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal data only as long as it is necessary to complete bakery orders, provide customer support, comply with tax and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete it or anonymize it in a secure way so that it can no longer be linked to you. Custom cake text and temporary dietary notes are not kept longer than needed for fulfillment and any related complaint handling.

9. Incident Response

If we detect a security incident that may affect personal data, we investigate it promptly, take steps to contain and limit its effects, and assess the risk for the people involved. When required by law or when there is a significant risk to your rights, we will notify affected customers and the relevant authorities without undue delay, explaining what happened and what measures can be taken. Incident handling includes reviewing whether bakery order queues or member lists were exposed and resetting credentials when appropriate.

10. Your Rights and Requests

You may ask us to give you access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate details, to delete data that is no longer needed, to restrict or object to certain uses, and to provide a copy of your data in a common format, subject to legal exceptions. You can also withdraw your consent to marketing messages about daily specials at any time without affecting bakery purchases you have already made. We may ask for information that helps us confirm your identity before we respond, and we will reply as quickly as reasonably possible.

11. Training and Accountability

Breadyra expects everyone who handles customer information to understand why protection matters. We provide practical guidance on safe use of email, order systems, and customer records, and we encourage our team to report risks early. Accountability sits with bakery management, who oversee how data is collected, stored, shared, and deleted in day-to-day operations across our artisan breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, and rolls menu.

12. Updates to This Page

We review our data protection practices regularly and may update this page when our bakery services, technology, or legal obligations change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the website after an update means you should review the revised practices that apply to ordering from Breadyra.
